ANDREA CANNON first fell in love with the guitar watching performers on TV. In high school she learned Chuck Berry Licks and figured out "Stair Way to Heaven" from the record, one of her first great acheivements dear to her. Nobody had told her that girls we not supposed to play electric guitar, and she couldn't get enough of it. She wanted to be the best she could be and realized that going to school would help her acheive that goal. Andrea attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston where she majored in Applied Performance Studies. Her love for performing is equally reflected by her love for teaching. She is rewarded by sharing and passing her knowledge and in turn seeing the musical growth reflected in her students.

Mr. Allison has attended many Suzuki teacher-training workshops where he studied with Frank Longay and Bill Kossler and is registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas for taking book 1 through 6 workshops and an overview for books 2 through 8. Working with the Suzuki International Guitar Committee and Warner Brothers he helped to prepare the upper level books of the Suzuki Guitar School Series for publication. He currently teaches using the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki at Swift Creek Academy of Performing Arts in Richmond, Virginia and plans on attending the Ann Arbor Suzuki Guitar and Flute Institute for the book 7 teacher-training workshop this summer.
